Charges on five counts have been filed in Stevens County against Joshua Jon Vlaminck of Willmar. One felony count is a controlled substance crime in the 5th degree, possession of a “not small amount” of marijuana, which has a maximum sentence of not more than 5 years in prison and a fine of $10,000, or both. Another felony count is for fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, which has a maximum sentence of 3 years and 1 day in prison and/or $5,000. Vlaminck is also charged with the gross misdemeanor crimes of a third degree DWI, and driving a vehicle after cancellation of a driver’s license, both of which carry a maximum sentence of one year in jail and/or a $3,000 fine. The 33-year-old also faces a petty misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, which has a $300 fine maximum sentence. The incidents occurred in Stevens County on July 21.
