The Starbuck and Glenwood Police Department’s along with the Pope County Sheriff’s Office will offer the 2nd Annual Safety Camp. This two day camp is designed to get kids going into 3rd-7th grades in the fall learning about important safety topics while also participating in fun activities. The camp will run from 8 am to 3:30 pm Wednesday, Aug. 15 and Thursday, Aug. 16 at the Minnewaska Area High School.

Topics will include: Water Safety, Bike Safety, Bullying and Internet Safety, First Aid/EMS, Tour of Fire Truck and Squad Cars, Medical Helicopter Tour, Weather Safety, Fire Safety, 911 Use, and other topics.

The youth involved with this camp will have the opportunity to build positive relationships with local Police, Fire, and EMS staff all while learning and having fun. Drop off/Check in time will start at 7:30 am and Camp will start at 8 am. Pick up/Check out will start at 3:30. Camp will be held rain or shine.
