(Mike Rothman)

DFL Candidate for Minnesota Attorney General Mike Rothman told KMRS that his nearly 8 years serving as the state’s Commerce Commissioner has given him the experience in consumer protection – which he referred to as the “core responsibility” for the attorney general’s office — that distinguishes him from his other Democratic opponents. He also cited his 30 years of experience as a trial lawyer, and growing up in rural Chaska as shaping his values.

Rothman noted that his daughter will be attending the University of Minnesota Morris this fall, and in his role overseeing the state’s energy sector he visited Morris a number of times. The complete interview with Rothman can be heard on Monday morning’s KMRS Community Connection.
