One of KMRS/KKOK’s own on-air announcers is the recipient of the Pay It Forward Stevens County award. Besides helping out at the radio station, Jacob Just – who’s about to enter college as a freshman – has been active with the FCCLA organization throughout high school, and helps at the Regional Fitness Center. Jacob helped organize patient records at the Stevens Community Medical Center, and volunteered in the hospital gift shop. He also raised money for their Ambassadors, and made tie blankets for people battling cancer. He has served as emcee for the Miss Midwest/Miss Morris Area Scholarship Program, and he’s also helped design a new logo, brochures and website for the Stevens County Economic Improvement Commission. He was also a student representative to the Morris School Board while he was in high school. At the RFC, he has served as a representative at Health fairs, Expos, and with radio ads, and helped with the RFC’s marketing campaign. He also lifeguards and has served as an instructor for swimming lessons and Tiger Sharks.
