Local business owners will be celebrating the grand opening of an international clothing company new to the Morris area. Specializing in modest women’s apparel, Inherit Clothing Company was formerly known as The Skirt Outlet when Amy and Anthony Ekren purchased the business in January 2018. There will be a 10 a.m. ribbon cutting on Thursday, September 6 at the store on 702 Atlantic Avenue in Morris. The store will be open that day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Owner Amy Ekren shared with KMRS why she bought the business and her hopes for it.

The vision of Inherit Clothing Company is to build a global brand that inspires a close-knit community of women to “live joyfully,” according to a company press release. The business will have expanded office, storefront and warehouse space to continue designing and producing original designs for the growing wholesale market and selling modest classic designs from other brands.
