Holdingford Invite
HOLDINGFORD – Noah Stewart continued hit hot start to the cross country season for Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta, taking first place at the Holdingford Invite on Thursday.
Stewart finished with a time of 16:50, 35 seconds ahead of runner-up Michael Miller of Maple Lake. As a team the Tiger boys took fourth place with Melrose winning the event. Other top finishers for the Tigers were Ben Hernandez in seventh, and Solomon Johnson in 13th.
Maddie Carrington led the Tigers girls with a fifth place finish, her sister Meredith took 14th and the Tigers took fifth in team scoring. Albany’s Kristine Kalthoff took top honors individually, Maple Lake won the team event.

VOLLEYBALL
BOLD 3, Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 2
MORRIS – BOLD and Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta battled for five sets on Thursday night, with the Warriors earning the win, 28-26, 22-25, 25-20, 23-25, 15-9 from the Tiger Center in Morris.
The Tigers had game-point in the first set at 24-21, when the Warriors rallied to steal the set, and it proved the difference on the night.
Bailey Marty led the Tigers with eight kills, 32 digs and was 21-21 serving with two aces, Riley Decker had 22 digs and two aces, Lexi Pew added 13 kills and LaRae Kramm chipped in with 22 assists and 14 digs.
Makenna Steffel tallied 22 kills, Mikayla Snow added 25 assists and the Warriors improved to 3-0 while the Tigers fall to 6-2.

Minnewaska Area 3, Atwater-Cosmos- Grove City 2
GLENWOOD – Minnewaska rallied from down two sets to defeat ACGC 3-2 in Glenwood on Thursday, 26-28, 23-25, 25-16, 25-15, 16-14.
Ellie Danielson led the Lakers with 28 kills and 14 digs, Emma Thorfinnson had 25 digs, Avery Hoeper and Alexis Piekarski each had 11 kills and combined for 26 digs. Lindsay Minnick led the Falcons with 17 kills

Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley 3, Ortonville 0
GRACEVILLE – Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley made quick work of Ortonville on Thursday with a 25-13, 25-16, 25-8 sweep.
Lora Botker and Tylaina Issendorf each totaled 17 assists with Botker adding six service aces. Emma Botker led with 11 kills and 11 digs, Jessica Moberg added 12 digs
The Wolverines are now 3-0 while the Trojans fall to 0-3.

Park Christian 3, Brandon-Evansville 0
EVANSVILLE – Park Christian earned a sweep over Brandon-Evansville on Thursday, 25-13, 27-25, 27-25.
Bailey Schaefer led the Chargers with 11 kills, eight digs, and two aces. Kailee Klimek had eight digs, Sara Jacobson added seven as the Chargers fall to 2-2. The Falcons are 3-0.

Wheaton/Herman-Norcross 3, West Central Area 1
BARRETT – Wheaton/Herman-Norcross won a conference matchup with West Central Area in four sets, 25-18, 26-24, 15-25, 25-21 on Thursday.
The Warriors are 2-0 while the Knights fall to 0-2.
