Folk musician, songwriter, and working farmer from Mandan, North Dakota, Chuck Suchy will perform 7:30 p.m. Saturday, September 15 at Roosevelt Hall in Barrett. Suchy has released 7 albums in the past 30 years and is North Dakota’s official State Troubador. One of his ballads, The Story of Hazel Miner, tells the story of a 15-year-old girl who died saving the life of her brother and sister during a 1920 blizzard in Center, North Dakota. Opening act is David Stoddard, a songwriter and teacher living in western Minnesota. Tickets are available at the door or at prairiewindplayers.org.
