Members of the Morris School Board approved a maximum 2018 Payable 2019 Preliminary Levy Certification at their meeting this week. The levy is roughly 1 percent higher than last year’s figure. Superintendent Rick Lahn told KMRS that the levy is a largely operational procedure and is completely different than the levies that need taxpayer approval.
Final levy numbers will be presented in December, and the public will have a chance to comment at a Truth in Taxation meeting.
