Included in the Consent Agenda approved at last night’s meeting of the Morris City Council was a final report for Prairie Pioneer Days, which showed expenses of over $14,000, most of which went to bringing in musical acts. But lackluster attendance at the Christian rock concert of Mallory Hope had City Manager Blaine Hill questioning such a move for next year.

Prairie Pioneer Days is largely a project of the Morris Area Chamber of Commerce, and the City’s involvement is limited to its funding of the Tourism Board, which provides some money for the event.
