The University of Minnesota Morris Center for Small Towns (CST) seeks applications for its Connecting Students and Communities program. Applications for spring 2019 projects will be accepted through Wednesday. October 31.
Each year CST works with more than 50 Minnesota communities with populations of 5,000 or fewer, taking on projects that make a difference. Projects cover a variety of issues and skill areas. Examples include social media presence for the City of Morris and Grant County 4-H after-school programs.
During the school year students work up to 10 hours/week on projects. They may work up to 40 hours/week in the summer. Work happens in the CST office on the UMN Morris campus, although trips to communities and work sites can be arranged. Local governments, schools, nonprofits, and community groups from Minnesota towns of 5,000 or fewer are encouraged to apply. Submit applications online at morris.umn.edu/cst.
