RUSC Kinship Mentoring is starting up a new program called Lunch Buddies which pairs area 2nd graders with adults to have lunch once a month and read a book chosen by the student. RUSC’s Executive Director Erin Koehntop told KMRS that the Lunch Buddies program is a different type of mentorship than their regular service.

Lunch Buddies will run the fourth Wednesday of the month (3rd in December) at Morris Area Elementary School, and the 2nd Tuesday of the month at St. Mary’s. Mentors are asked to pay for their own school lunch. Applications for the program are available at the RUSC office at 215 Atlantic Avenue in Morris, or online at rusckinship.org.
