OLIVIA – Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta surrendered 21 unanswered points, dropping their regular season finale to BOLD 35-7 on Wednesday in Olivia.
The Warriors Gavin Vosika ran for 124 yards and three touchdowns, and BOLD wrapped up the Mid-State (Sub 2) District title and a perfect 8-0 record heading into the playoffs.
Trailing 14-0 in the second, the Tigers Durgen Decker hit Jaret Johnson for an 11-yard touchdown to cut the deficit in half, but the offense went silent the rest of the night.
Camden Arndt ran for 113 yards on 15 carries, Decker finished 4-12 for 43 yards and two interceptions, the Tigers are 5-3.
Minnewaska Area 45, Benson 0
GLENWOOD – Minnewaska exploded for 27 first quarter points and went on to earn a 45-0 rout over Benson.
The Lakers had 435 yards of total offense while holding the Braves to just 99. Ryan Amundson threw for 72 yards, ran for 110 and accounted for three touchdowns.
Darion Alexander ran for 99 yards as the Lakers improved to 6-2. Benson falls to 0-8.

Brandon-Evansville 40, Hancock 20
BRANDON – Marshall Riedel ran for three first half touchdowns, finishing with 146 yards on 26 carries and Brandon-Evansville defeated Hancock 40-20.
The Chargers jumped out to a 16-0 lead in the first six minutes, and took a 34-6 lead into halftime.
Tanner Bitzan was a force defensively, racking up 12 tackles, two-for-loss with an interception, while hauling in five catches for 57 yards and touchdown offensively. Keagan Schiele had 191 total yards of offense and three touchdowns as the Chargers improved to 4-4.
The Owls Tyler Timmerman had 122 total yards with a touchdown, Isaac Nienhaus took his lone carry 65 yards to the house, and Luke Joos took a 22-yard fumble recovery in for a touchdown late.
Gideon Joos led the Owls with nine tackles, Harrison Zeltwanger added seven as they fall to 5-3.
Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley 38, Hillcrest Lutheran 12
FERGUS FALLS – Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley racked up 413 yards of total offense in a 38-12 win over Hillcrest.
353 of the Wolverines yards came on the ground, led by Nate Moberg who carried 28 times for 156 yards and a touchdown.
Preston Reedy put CGB on the board with a 70-yard kick return for a touchdown, and the Wolverines were able to battle to an 18-12 halftime lead before pulling away in the second half.
The Wolverines are 3-5 while the Comets fall to 0-8.

WHEATON – Verndale clinched the District 9-West (South) title with a dominant 42-0 rout of Wheaton/Herman-Norcross.
The Pirates are 8-0 while the Warriors fall to 6-2.
