The Stevens County Historical Society and Museum will host a Halloween Festival from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, October 27 in the one-room schoolhouse at the Stevens County Fairgrounds. There will be games, face painting, bug making, pumpkin bowling, bowls of brains and eyeballs and an escape room. Activities are for all ages and mostly outdoors, children must be accompanied by an adult. Costumes (or fall flannel) are optional, items for the food shelf will be collected at the event, which has a suggested donation of $2 per person.
The Stevens County Historical Society and Museum hired a new executive director, Cam Erickson, who spent 30 years in southern Minnesota before moving to Morris this summer after getting married. She taught in an elementary school for 13 years and owned a gift shop for 12 years, experiences which she told KMRS should be helpful for her new position.
