As part of Resident Rights Month in Ocober, the Minnesota Office of the Ombudsman for Long-Term Care recognized Minnesotans who volunteer to advocate for the rights of people living in long-term care facilities. Among the 31 certified ombudsmen honored were Dorothy Chizek and Elizabeth (Liz) Spohr, both of Morris, and Charlotte Hanson of Alexandria. Those interested in becoming a volunteer ombudsman may call 800-657-3591.
