The University of Minnesota Morris Theatre Discipline season begins Thursday through Saturday with Dead Man’s Cell Phone, a quirky comedy about the nature of human connection in the age of technology. This award-winning play by acclaimed playwright Sarah Ruhl follows the story of a woman named Jean who, after acquiring a dead stranger’s cell phone, invents a series of stories to forge a connection with those who loved him. Directed by guest artist Hannah Amundson, performances will take place in the Humanities Fine Arts (HFA) Black Box Theatre, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday.
