Stevens County 4-H will host its Fall Soup Supper from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight (November 1) at Faith Lutheran Church in Morris. Free will donations will be accepted for the meal, which includes homemade 4-H vegetable beef soup, hot dogs, BBQ and grilled cheese sandwiches, and bars. Monies raised will go toward improvements to the 4H Food Stand on the Stevens County Fairgrounds.
Vicky Dosdall, longtime manager of the 4H Food Stand, told KMRS they hope to raise over $25,000 to make the needed repairs before next year’s County Fair.
Dosdall said they also plan to install a new exhaust fan above the fry area, put in new screen doors and get new signage. Morris Co-op is the lead sponsor for the fundraising effort. She also noted that the 4H vegetable beef soup was rated the safest food item on the Fairgrounds by the Food Safety Inspector.
