The Minnesota Department of Health recently awarded a series of grants totaling $30,000 to communities across the state to cover costs to purchase new drinking fountains with water bottle filling stations. The grants are part of an effort to move people away from drinking sugary beverages.

Grantees in our listening region included Perham Health, Benson Schools, and New London-Spicer Schools. The project was supported by the Health Resources and Services Administratio of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
