The next Morris Community Meal will have a Native American theme and deer will be on the menu for the first time in the history of the Community Meal. It will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, November 5 at Faith Lutheran Church in Morris, preceded by a 5 p.m. Gratitude Ceremony. Besides the deer meat gravy, there will be wild rice or mashed potatoes, black bean and wild rice salad, squash soup, fry bread with chokeberry sauce, and maple candies. Honoring Native traditions, elders will be served first.
