The wet fall weather may have caused frustrations for farmers, but it has created equal frustrations for Stevens County road workers. County Engineer Todd Larson told the Stevens County Board of Commissioners at their regular meeting this week that the weather has hampered some efforts to prepare for the winter season, even though the highway department continues to complete various projects.

County Coordinator Becky Young explained the situation on the KMRS Community Connection program.

The Commissioners approved purchase of a tilt bed trailer for $8,250. They will go on their annual Road Tour to assess county roads on November 13.
