Last night’s public comment period of the Morris City Council meeting included a request for the city to bring back an outdoor ice skating rink. Proponents suggested a rink would be an opportunity for different parts of the community to connect and would be used more than in past years.

Council members recalled ice rinks of the past, but City Manager Blaine Hill said that changing weather patterns have made many municipalities gravitate to other skating options.
