A new commercial building is being built on Highway 28 West to house the Humane Society, a veterinarian, and a pet groomer, but property owner Kathleen Jost was surprised by the $5,600 fee to connect the water and sewer system to the building, and at this week’s Morris City Council meeting, council members took action to help.

Morris City Manager Blaine Hill told KMRS that the building will be a nice addition to the west side of town.
