Two West Virginia residents were injured in a one car crash on icy roads in Stevens County on Saturday night.

24-year-old Kenneth Robert Blomquist, of Hampshire, was driving a 2015 Jeep Wrangler east on Highway 28 near Morris when he failed to negotiate a curve, hit an approach, vaulted and rolled in a ditch. Blomquist was taken to the Stevens Community Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. His passenger 25-year-old Heather Harlow, also of Hampshire, was taken to Centra-Care in St. Cloud with non-life threatening injuries.

The State Patrol reported that alcohol was involved in both driver and passenger. Responding to the scene were the Stevens County Sheriff’s Office, Morris Police and Fire Departments, and the U of M Campus Police Department.
