Answering a call to help out with the Christmas Toy Shoppe toy collection drive this year was Jenny Maras’ Personal Finance class at Morris Area High School. Juniors Boe Staples, Naveah Anderson and Kendra Wevley told the KMRS Early Morning Show that the drive will collect new toys for the next few weeks, culminating in a distribution date of December 22 at Faith Lutheran Church. Staples said they have an ambitious goal for this season’s drive.

Donation boxes will be seen around town at local business, such as Just Us Boutique, Westmor and Superior Industries, as well as at the Morris Area High School. A Wish Tree is available at Shopko. The project is spearheaded by the Salvation Army and Morris Women of Today. Businesses can still register for a donation box until tomorrow, with forms available at the Salvation Army Thrift Store or Stevens County Human Services.
