Fred Amram, who was born in 1933 Nazi Germany and survived the Holocaust, will speak 7 p.m. tonight at the Stevens County History Museum, 116 West 6th Street in Morris. Amram is a retired University of Minnesota professor who lives in Minneapolis.

Museum Director Cam Erickson told KMRS that Amram’s book, “We’re in America Now: A Survivor’s Stories,” will be available for purchase and signing at tonight’s event. Amram will also speak to students in Hancock School’s English classes today. Amram recently accepted an invitation from the German government to reclaim his nationality, and became a dual citizen.
