The public had a chance to meet the first of three candidates for the University of Minnesota Morris’ Vice Chancellor for Finance and Facilities position. Bryan Herrmann was appointed to that post three years ago and is now a finalist for the permanent position, which oversees the university’s finances and building structures. He told a group gathered at Common Cup that faculty at the Morris university get to work on research with students more than many other colleges.
The second candidate, Kevin McGaughey, is with the finance department of San Diego State University, but worked for most of his career in Minnesota. The public can meet him 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. Tuesday (December 4) at Common Cup. The third candidate will be at Common Cup 8:30 a.m. Friday. A decision is expected by December 17.
