The second of three candidates for the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Facilities at the University of Minnesota Morris met with the public yesterday at Common Cup Coffeehouse. Kevin McGaughey is currently with the finance department of San Diego State University and told the assembled that UM Morris’ efforts and reputation as an energy sustainable campus are “hugely important” to the university community.
McGaughey previously worked for nearly 20 years in Minnesota in financial departments, including the Pillsbury Company and the University of Northwestern, a Christian college in St. Paul. The third and final candidate will be Nayyer Hussain, Ph.D., who is with the State University of New York system and will meet the public 8:30 a.m. Friday at Common Cup. A decision is expected by December 17.
