The Minnesota State Football Coaches Association has named their 2018 9-Man All-State team, and District 9-West (South) had five players named All-State, five more earned honorable mention.

Hancock Owls senior lineman Harrison Zeltwanger joined Underwood’s Thomas Kaste on the Offensive All-State Team.

Defensively Brandon-Evansville junior linebacker Tanner Bitzan and Wheaton/Herman-Norcross senior linebacker Nelson Schmidt were named All-State along with Verndale defensive lineman Craig Orlando.

Earning Honorable Mention was Owls senior Montana Molden along with four Verndale players including Quinn Kern, Jackson Weniger, Matt Steege, and Jarret Kveton.

Offense: Alex Folz, Noah Elton (Spring Grove); Cooper Hansen, Carter Hansen (RTR); Abraham Stoesz (Mt. Lake Area); Kannon Korpela (Cromwell); Joey Janke (South Ridge); Josh Prom (Cook County), Lucian Tinnes (Goodridge-Grygla).

Defense: Drake Harder (Mt. Lake Area); Cameron Cahoon (Cromwell); Noah Klemetson (NCE-UH); Hunter Yutrzenka (Stephen-Argyle); Drew Wyffals (Mabil-Canton); Joe Buffetta (Mt. Iron-Buhl); Ethan Mazke (Spring Grove).

Honorable Mention: Drew Libbon (Cromwell); Takoda Boyd (Spring Grove); Andrew Quade (Westbrook-Walnut-Grove); Chase Kleppe (Northwoods); Jericho Peterson, Dillon Drake (Mt. Iron-Buhl); Tate Maesse (NCE-UH); Blake Henry (Mabil-Canton); Luke DeWulf (Nevis).
