OLIVIVA – Jackson Loge had 29 points with 14 rebounds, and four blocks in a losing effort as Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta lost to BOLD 79-61 in Olivia on Friday.
Loge was 14-20 from the field, but Tigers were just 2-18 from three-point range. Jaret Johnson had 11 points and six rebounds, Jaden Maanum added nine points as the Tigers fall to 1-2. The Warriors are now 3-0.
Hancock 91, Wheaton/Herman-Norcros 65
HANCOCK – Hancock pulled away in the second half for a 91-65 win over Wheaton/Herman-Norcross.
Matt Thielen hit six threes to finish with 30 points for the Warriors, but they couldn’t keep up with the fast-paced Owls.
Hancock led by just five at halftime, but dominated the Warriors on the glass 43-24 and got a balanced offensive attack in the second half.
Bennett Nienhaus had 24 points, Cole Reese added 22 with eight assists, and Peyton Rohloff had a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds as the Owls improve to 2-0. The Warriors are 0-2.
Minnewaska 58, Sauk Centre 54
SAUK CENTRE – Grant Jensen had 20 points and five rebounds to lead Minnewaska past Sauk Centre 58-54.
Luke Barkheim had eight points with nine boards, Ryan Amundson added nine points and the Lakers are 2-0. The Mainstreeters are 0-2.

GLENWOOD – Ellie Danielson dominated with 27 points and 14 rebounds as Minnewaska defeated Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 64-49.
The Tigers shot just 33 percent from the floor and never seemed to find a rhythm offensively.
Maddie Carrington was the lone Tiger in double-figures scoring with 13 points, Malory Anderson and nine points and eight rebounds as they fall to 2-2.
Emma Thorfinnson had 14 points and Lexi Piekarski added 10 for the Lakers who are 2-2.

MORRIS – Three unanswered goals late in the second period helped Crookston skate past Morris/Benson Area 6-3 from the Lee Community Center on Friday.
Andrea Walz opened the scoring for the Storm at 16:09 of the second on a feed from Kortney Sanasack, but the Pirates rallied for three goals in the final 3:21 of the period.
The teams traded goals in the third with the Storm unable to get closer than two.
Danielle Reuss and Taryn Picht each scored while Kellie Wilts and Isabelle Alsaker had assists. Leah Thompson stopped 17 shots as the Storm fall to 2-8.
