The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will stop in more than two dozen Minnesota towns on its annual ride through the northern United States, bringing live entertainment and Christmas cheer in exchange for donations to local food banks. The train will be in Minnesota from December 5 to 14 and features free performances by The Trews and Willy Porter at each stop. Food or cash donations will benefit the local community.
In our listening area, the Holiday Train will stop Thursday at 10 a.m. at the CP Station in Glenwood, 20 – 15th Street Northeast; at 11:30 a.m. in Alexandria at the 8th Avenue East railroad crossing by Hubbard Feed Mill at 8th and Nokomis; and at 2:30 p.m. at the Holmes Street railroad crossing in Detroit Lakes, near the Holmes Community Center. On Friday, the train will stop 4:15 p.m. at the Main Street crossing in Elbow Lake.
