Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 63, Sauk Centre 43
MORRIS – Four Tigers scored in double-figures as Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta snapped a three-game losing skid with a 63-43 win over Sauk Centre at the Tiger Center on Friday.
The Tigers led by two at halftime, but pulled away in the second half by holding the Mainstreeters to just 4-18 shooting.
Jaret Johnson had 20 points and nine rebounds, Jackson Loge had a double-double with 11 points and 14 boards, Zach Hughes added 13 points, and Joe Kleinwolterink was 4-4 from the field to finish with 12. The Tigers are 2-3 on the season.
Jacob Jennissen had 16 points for the Streeters who are 1-3.

Hancock 73, MACCRAY 50
BENSON – Hancock hit 11 threes and shot 46 percent in a 73-50 win over MACCRAY at the Benson Tournament on Friday.
Bennett Nienhaus and Cole Reese each scored 17 points, Conner Reese had 13 and Peyton Rohloff added eight with nine rebounds.
Hancock opened a 28-point halftime lead and outrebounded the Wolverines 48-23 as they improve to 4-0.
MACCRAY got 10 points from Brady Kienitz, falling to 4-1.

West Central Area 65, Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley 30
BARRETT – West Central Area shot 55 percent while holding Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley to just 23 percent in a 63-30 rout of the Wolverines on Friday.
Four Knights were in double-figures scoring led by Gage Staples with 11 points and seven rebounds, Jacob Bright had 11 on 4-4 shooting, Teagan Moritz added 10 points and eight rebounds, Grant Beuckens chipped in with 10 points and four assists.
Caleb Cardwell led the Wolverines with eight points, Cold Gilsdorf had six as CGB falls to 1-6. The Knights are 3-1.

Mora 66, Brandon-Evansville 63
KIMBALL – Brandon-Evansville’s comeback from 19 down in the second half came up short in a 66-63 loss to Mora at the Kimball Tournament on Friday.
The Chargers were down 36-22 at halftime, and the Mustangs extended that lead early in the second half before the Chargers rallied, getting within two with under two minutesĀ  to play.
Tanner Bitzan had 19 points and 12 rebounds, Marshall Ridel had 15 points with three assists and Keagan Schiele added 10 as the Chargers fall to 3-2. Mora is 2-1.
Brandon-Evansville faces PACT Charter on Saturday in day two of the tournament.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

MORRIS – 3rd-ranked Sauk Centre flexed their muscles in the second half to turn an 11-point halftime lead into a 30-point blowout victory with a 81-51 victory over Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta.
Tori Peschel had 22 points for the Mainstreeters, Julia Dammann added 20, and Michaela Dammann added 17 with eight rebounds and three blocks.
The Tigers were led by Malory Anderson who had 16 points and five steals, Riley Decker added eight, and Sophia Carlsen scored six as they fall to 3-3. Sauk Centre is 5-1.

West Central Area 73, Breckenridge 70
BRECKENRIDGE – West Central Area erased a 16-point deficit to defeat Breckenridge 73-70 in Breckenridge on Friday.
A hot start by the Cowgirls got them a 16-point lead before the Knights trimmed it to 11 before halftime.
West Central Area continued to chip away in the second half before finally taking the lead 70-68 late with tough defense forcing turnovers.
Lexi Bright led the Knights with 21 points and five steals, Ella Van Kempen had 17 points, Brynn Fernholz added 11 and West Central improved to 4-3, the Cowgirls are 4-2.
