Over 100 people attended a public question and answer session at the University of Minnesota Morris’ Edson Auditorium this week with Joan Gabel, the sole finalist to be the next University of Minnesota president. Gabel was visiting all the satellite campuses in the university system this week before her meeting with the Board of Regents on Friday, and touted how valuable a liberal arts education is in the world of business.

Gabel noted the Morris campus community is already invested and committed to seeing these outcomes in its students. She said a recent survey of CEOs by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce found a nearly identical list of skills as needed to be a corporate leader.
