After a second public hearing on a proposed Right of Way Ordinance this Monday at the Stevens County Courthouse, the Stevens County Board of Commissioners voted in favor of the ordinance in the following closed door meeting. If there is no further public comment in the next few weeks, the ordinance will stand as law.

Stevens County Coordinator Rebecca Young was on the KMRS Community Connection program to explain the ordinace.

Young noted that while the ordinance allows for groups like AMP Americas to petition for use of the Right of Way to build a biogas pipeline, that is not the purpose of the ordinance.
