Stevens Soil and Water Conservation District was successful in securing a grant from the Clean Water Fund to improve a portion of the Pomme de Terre Watershed. Matt Solemsaas with the district described the project on the KMRS Community Connection program. They’ll be working with the Donnelly Rod and Gun Club on a shoreline restoration project by the public access of Perkins Lake this spring and summer.

Six county conservation districts were involved in the grant, and they will divide the half a million dollars for various projects.
