Following two bureaucratic moves this week by Stevens County that push a proposed biogas pipeline project forward, Chicago-based Amp Americas CEO Grant Zimmerman told KMRS that he’s pleased with this week’s developments. The moves by the Stevens County Planning Commission and the County Board of Commissioners help build the legal structures to make his company’s $30 million project feasible.

Zimmerman said the low pressure pipeline project is a safe and good project for the County. The Planning Commission recommended amendments to the County Zoning Ordinance, and the Board of Commissioners followed those recommendations and approved those amendments. There are a number of bureaucratic steps still to be fulfilled before the project is approved.
