EVANSVILLE – Brandon-Evansville smothered Underwood with ball-pressure defense to earn a 55-34 victory on Thursday.
The Chargers held the Rockets to 12-31 shooting and created numerous scoring opportunities off 19 Rockets turnovers.
Sam Fuller had a game-high 16 points, Tanner Bitzan grabbed 11 rebounds, and Keagan Schiele scored six with four assists and four steals as the Chargers improve to 6-5 overall, 2-1 in the Little Eight Conference.
Canaan Kugler had 13 points for Underwood, Winston Heifort added nine as the Rockets fall to 2-8.

HANCOCK – Emma Botker had 16 points and 17 rebounds in Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley’s 50-34 defeat of Hancock.
Reanna Ward scored 16 points and the Wolverines improved to 8-3 overall, 4-2 in the Pheasant Conference.
The Owls were held to just 23 percent shooting, including 0-6 from three-point range as they fall to 5-4 overall, 2-3 in conference. Haley Mattson had 14 points and four steals for Hancock.

LUVERNE – Rylee Gee’s shorthanded goal at 10:55 of the third broke a 1-1 tie and helped Luverne slip past Morris/Benson Area 3-1 on Thursday.
Taryn Picht’s team-leading ninth goal of the season came at 1:17 of the third, tying the game at one, but the Cardinals responded with two unanswered and got seven saves from Cheyenne Schutz to improve to 13-4-2.
Leah Thompson stopped 44 shots for the Storm as they fall to 3-14.
