Hancock 67, Benson 54
BENSON – Hancock stormed back from an early nine-point deficit to take a one-point lead into halftime, then pulled away in the second half for a 67-54 victory over Benson.
The Braves started the game on fire from beyond the arc, but once the Owls switched to a zone defense with plenty of ball pressure on the perimeter, it allowed them to climb back into the game and eventually take control.
Bennett Nienhaus got hot in the second half and finished with 19 points and nine rebounds, while Daniel Milander added 13 points and three steals, Connor Reese chipped in with 11 points for the Owls who improve to 9-2.
Will Enderson had 23 points, Cole Hedman added 16 for the Braves who drop to 2-9.
