Morris Pastor Neil Thielke recently returned from a trip to Germany where he toured the Dachau Concentration Camp. He spoke about his trip at yesterday’s Kiwanis meeting at Old #1 Southside. Thielke spoke about the events that led up to the Holocaust and the history of European anti-Semitism.

Part of that history, the pastor noted, was the virulently anti-Semitic writings of Martin Luther, who was an early advocate for genocide of the Jews in the 1500s. Thielke also noted that anti-Semitism remains a problem in the world today.
