The Vikings have filled their vacancy at special teams coordinator, per Alex Marvez.

The job will reportedly go to Marwan Maalouf.

Maalouf has been an assistant special teams coach since 2013 for the Miami Dolphins. In 2012, he served as the special teams coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts.

Maalouf will replace Mike Priefer, who is now the Browns special teams coordinator after eight seasons with the Vikings.

There is plenty of work to do for the special teams unit. The Vikings could be looking for a new kicker (Dan Bailey’s contract is up), punt returner (same for Marcus Sherels) and punter in 2019 (same for Matt Wile).
