Many airport facilities are not greatly affected by the partial government shutdown, so the scheduled meeting between Morris City officials and the Federal Aviation Administration in St. Paul took place last week to discuss airport renovations in Morris. City Manager Blaine Hill told the KMRS Community Connection that it was a “good meeting” and covered issues of a runway extension and the need for an environmental study to move the Morris project forward.

Hill said he was encouraged that there was a consensus about how federal and state government think about a potential project at the Morris Airport.
