The Morris School Board approved the 2019-2020 High School Registration Guide at its meeting this week, and Morris Area students will see some new offerings for next fall. Morris Area High School Principal Bill Kehoe told the board that one of those classes is Introduction to Education, an effort to alleviate the statewide teacher shortage.
The Education class will fill a college requirement. Kehoe said other new classes will be the creative writing offering Film Analysis, and a Music Appreciation class for 7th and 8th graders who are not interested in a performing art. The EMR/EMT class will no longer be offered for college credit, but it will still be available for high school credit.
