Morris Schools Superintendent Rick Lahn told the School Board at an emergency meeting late last week that he has not heard a lot of public griping about the extended number of days off due to extreme weather, and now a boiler replacement situation at the high school.
The District is getting flexibility on using e-learning days this year from the Department of Education. Lahn said unless there were some serious safety issues, school will be in session. Pre-K through 6th grade is up and running as scheduled in the Elementary School. High schoolers are scheduled to go back on Wednesday.
