Today is the last day of National School Counseling Week, which recognizes the many hats worn by today’s school counselors. Morris School Counselors Tammy Roth and Jennifer Rustad told KMRS on the Community Connection program that their duties include student advocacy, grief counseling, career guidance, character building and incorporating anti-bullying efforts into school life, such as the Olweus initiative at the Morris schools.

Both Rustad and Roth said they are available anytime to speak with community members about their roles or with any concerns they may have about their student.
