With an expected break in snowfall, residents have a chance to catch up on shoveling their sidewalks. Morris City Manager Blaine Hill reminded listeners on the KMRS Community Connection that citizens have two days after a snow event to clear their sidewalks. In the next two days, Hill said, the City will go around town and take a look at all the sidewalks to make sure they’re cleared.

After the last major snow event, the city cleared the sidewalks of 25 homeowners – and billed them for that service, He suggested it would be much cheaper to hire a neighbor’s kid to do your shoveling than have the city do it.
