UMM Student Olivia Carlson

Olivia Carlson, a University of Minnesota Morris student from Rogers, proposed, researched, and designed an exhibit for the Stevens County Historical Society and Museum. Called “Insectarium: Insects & Agriculture in Stevens County,” the exhibit allowed Carlson to combine her interests in insects and local agriculture with her background as a studio art major. Carlson said her classroom skills prepared her for the process of creating an exhibit.

“Insectarium” is on display at the Stevens County Historical Society and Museum until May 4. To learn more, visit stevenshistorymuseum.com.
