Superintendent Rick Lahn.

With a big part of the renovation work on the Morris Area High School set to happen this summer, options remain limited for the Morris School District to add makeup instructional days due to this winter’s extreme weather and the record number of school closings. While summer school may not be an option, Superintendent Rick Lahn told KMRS of a number of ideas the district is thinking about. These include adding time to additional days left on the calendar, or having high school students occupy the Elementary School for a couple of days in the summer.

Lahn also mentioned the option of split days, where Elementary students would occupy the Elementary school building for half a day, and High School students would occupy the Elementary building for the other half of the day.
