The Stevens County Planning Commission will consider an application from FRESHA LLC for a conditional use permit and variance request to construct and operate a processing warehouse to wash, polish, sort, package, store and ship locally grown carrots. They would also like to construct a wastewater pond to collect and store the plant wash water and irrigate the surrounding farmland, which is proposed for 39 acres in Hancock on land being sold by Paul and Pamela Fehr.
A site visit is scheduled for 5 p.m. Monday (March 18), with the Planning Commission Conditional Use Permit hearing set for 7 p.m. in the County Board Room at the Stevens County Courthouse. If approved, there will be a 7:45 p.m. Board of Adjustment Variance Hearing. The public will be able to comment.
