West Central Area freshman guard Lexi Bright has been named the Pheasant Conference Most Valuable Player in girls basketball, with Eric Schoenbauer receiving Coach of the Year honors.
Bright averaged 17.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 4.3 steals per game this year, shooting 45 percent on threes. Schoenbauer coached the Knights to the conference title with a 10-1 mark.
Also named all-conference for the Knights were Ella Van Kempen and Hailey Bennett.
Brandon-Evansville had three players named all-conference, including Sara Jacobson, Mikenna Pattrin, and Haddey Zastrow.
Others included were Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley’s Reanna Ward and Emma Botker, Maycee Tolifson and Haley Johnson from Wheaton/Herman-Norcross, Carlee and Rylee Hanson from Hancock, Ortonville’s Jaidon Conroy, and Hillcrest Lutheran’s Olivia Foss.
Honorable mentions were Morgan Woodle (WCA), Madison Quinn (B-E), Brittany Korkowski (B-E), Mataiah Turner (CGB), Lora Botker (CGB), Izzy Schmidt (WHN), Lexi Staples (Hancock), Carrissa Vanderwal (Ortonville), Allyssa Kirchberg (Ortonville), and Mackenzie Foss (HLA).
