The Ashby/Brandon-Evansville track team got their 2019 season started with an indoor meet at Concordia on Friday night.
Senior Aanika Anderson led the Chargers with a second place finish in the 200 meter dash (1.06), and part of the 4×800 relay team that took fifth (2.01), joining Catherine Koefod, Kylie Hanson, and EmmaLee Brethorst.
For the boys Cade Carlson took fourth in the 55 meter dash (7.13), Eli Anderson was sixth in the hurdles (9.59), Jake Rein was sixth in the high jump (5’2″), and Deirk Goeden took third in the pole vault (8’6″).
The boys 4×800 relay team of Carlson, Nathan Baumann, Morgan Storey, and Rein took fourth (1:47), while the 4×3200 relay of Abram Fossel, Nolan Bitzan, Wesley Siira, and Sam Heeter took fourth (9:58).
