Dancers from CAAM Chinese Dance Theater, making their Morris debut with a free show 2 p.m. Saturday at the Morris Concert Hall. Members of the group will help with a number of interactive Chinese activities at the annual Arts Boosters Arts Festival & Carnival 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Morris Area High School.

For their Morris debut, the CAAM Chinese Dance Theater will incorporate elements of traditional Chinese dance, folk dance, ballet and even the martial arts. The result, according to the group’s board co-chair Beatrice Rothweiler, is a combination of beauty and athleticism.

CAAM will be bringing 25 dancers for a free performance 2 p.m. Saturday at the Morris Elementary’s Concert Hall. Their performance is made possible by a grant from the Lake Region Arts Council to the Morris Area Community Ed, with additional funding from the Morris Area Arts Boosters. Members of the dance troupe will also be conducting interactive Chinese activities earlier on Saturday at the Arts Festival & Carnival going on from 11 to 1:30 at the Morris Area High School.
