It’s a good week to celebrate Severe Weather Awareness Week, and Stevens and Big Stone Counties Emergency Director Dona Greiner told KMRS that many township roads in the area are still barricaded and flooded, one reason Stevens County was recently declared an emergency area.

Of course, snow emergencies are not yet out of our picture. When this recent blizzard melts away, residents who see roads under water that are not yet barricaded should notify the Sheriff’s Department.
